SRC launch Subaru Cup for 2016

Organisers of the ARR Craib MSA Scottish Rally Championship have finalised the spec for the first running of the SRC Subaru Cup.

The series is aimed at clubman competitors, and features a closely controlled specification which is designed to offer good performance whilst keeping costs under control.

The idea for the cup came from the competitor forums earlier this year, and the specification drawn up should allow for cars currently competing to be eligible, whilst making new builds accesible to new competitors on a budget.

SRC Championship organisers are continuing discussions with potential Cup sponsors and hope to announce s price structure soon.

The Subaru Cup will be joined in 2016 by the SRC 205 Cup, which will adopt the format successfully used by the Eccose Challenge over the past 13 years, with the only difference to the technical regulations being the removal of the control tyre.
