JUNIORS NOMINATED FOR HANKOOK PRIZE DRIVE
Six of Scotland's leading young drivers have been shortlisted for the inaugural 2009 Hankook SRC Prize Drive - which will see the winner competing in a fully-supported GpN car on an international rally.
David Bogie, Alick Kerr, John MacCrone, Mark McCulloch, Euan Thorburn and David Wilson were nominated following an intensive season-long selection process.
Five judges have been observing the "juniors" on all seven completed rounds, focusing on everything from driving and teamwork to media relations and development.
The winner will be announced at the Hankook Awards ceremony at the Marriot Hotel in Glasgow on November 28th .
Prior to competing on the international event as part of a two-car team , the successful junior will be given tuition by a leading UK professional driver. Their navigator will also receive coaching from a top-name co-driver.
Selecting the six names to go forward has been far from easy for the judges - such has been the quality and depth of the Hankook SRC junior programme, with more than 70 youngsters signed up.
Three training days covering all aspects of the sport have been held so far this season, with the final session taking place at Stirling University on Sunday 1st November.
