Friend of the Asset Alliance Group Scottish Rally Championship (SRC), Campbell Roy, will take on an incredible walking challenge across Scotland, raising awareness for prostate cancer.
Trek500 is a walk across the entire length and breadth of Scotland held across 43 ‘stages’ in support of Prostate Cancer Research.
Campbell, a close associate of the late Colin McRae, co-drove for six-time Olympic gold medalist Sir Chris Hoy at the non-championship McRae Rally Challenge event at Knockhill Racing Circuit last year, and was inspired to take on the challenge after Hoy’s stage 4 terminal prostate cancer diagnosis.
Starting in Kirk Yetholm next month (July) and ending at Cape Wrath in September, Campbell hopes to raise £50,000 for the charity, with his efforts supported by SRC title sponsor Asset Alliance Group.

Campbell Roy said: “Inspired by Sir Chris Hoy, this walk is about so much more than mere miles. It’s about raising awareness, helping to provide funding for life-saving research and to support the many men and families affected by prostate cancer every year. All funds raised will go to support the vital work of Prostate Cancer Research.
“Whether you’d like to walk a single mile, a full day, or several stages of the trail, you’re warmly welcome, with the only proviso being that you tap into your own network of family, friends and colleagues to help us raise as much money as possible for a condition that will affect 1 in 8 men over the course of their lifetimes.
“You don’t need to be an experienced hiker – you just need suitable clothing and boots, a good spirit, and a willingness to help make a difference.
